Description
Alumni Committee meets monthly on the third Tuesday of the month. Meetings are both virtual and in-person. **Alumni Committee engages the global Leadership Austin’s alumni community to champion its mission, vision and values. **Additionally, the committee increases alumni engagement with one another and the organization as a whole, leads the global alumni community in pursuit of the organization’s goals and strategic plan, extends and enhances alumni programs/events and communications, and advises the organization on alumni perspectives. **Purpose: Foster lifetime alumni engagement. (Alumni may no longer be active in a cohort, but Leadership Austin will always be here for our alumni.) **Overview: Leadership Austin’s greatest asset is its alumni. The Alumni Committee engages the global Leadership Austin alumni community so that we co-create a future where all people and communities contribute to a better Central Texas. With 3000+ alumni spanning five decades, we seek to nurture alumni engagement and re-engage alumni from years ago. In short, the Alumni Committee champions Leadership Austin’s mission, vision and values, contributes to advancing LA’s strategic plan, extends and enhances alumni programs/events and communications, and advises the organization on alumni perspectives. As a small nonprofit, the Alumni Committee serves as an extension of staff.

Be part of Leadership Austin's annual fundraiser for Essential and Emerge Scholarships. Your support on the day of the event will ensure we have our most successful fundraising lunch ever! Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert we have options for you. Thank you in advance for making this new community celebration one to remember. **Set Up Volunteers (6) - 8:00 - 10:30 - Help set up the room with table decorations, linens, paperwork, swag, etc. Your support will ensure the room looks amazing, name tags are easily accessible and we are 100% ready to greet guests at 10:30. **Registration(8) - 10:30 - 11:45 - Be the team that greets guests as they arrive. You will guide guests to their name tag, share table information and be the first person they see when they arrive. **Ushers(4-6) - 10:30- 11:30 - Help folks get to their tables in an easy and smooth manner. Share the agendas and be available to answer questions on the event. You will keep maps, table assignments and FAQ so attendees can enjoy the day and get around easily. **Book Exchange(2) - 10:30 - 11:30 - Be at one of the most exciting stations of our lunch. You and a partner will man the Leadership Box Exchange Table. folks can bring a book and take a book with them at lunch.

We couldn't do it without this team! Your support is so important to Leadership Austin. Be hands-on in helping us execute the annual alumni holiday party! ** Three shifts available: **Set up - from 3:00-6:00 in the afternoon - help transport supplies from the Leadership Austin offices to the library and set up the event - You will be part of the team that creates the mood and energy for the party. **Event support - 6:00-9:00 - welcome guests, registration check-in, Donut Wall support, and general guest support - You will get to meet and greet so many folks by working one of these fun stations. **Event tear down - 9:00-10:00 - help pack up all of the event supplies and load them into employees' cars - You will get our undying love for being on the best shift - you get some of the leftovers!
